Kids speech

Has anyone tested there skill out on children yet? I am testing mine out on my own children aged 7, 5 and 2 and struggling to get past the "erms" and "ahs" as such...

As children think about what they are saying whilst saying it compared to adults who think before speaking - I'm getting loads of erms and ahs mid sentence which is making alexa not pick up the correct utterances, and also the 5 year old is rarely picked up at all by alexa and the 2 year old is not picked up at all. Alexa just ignores him..

How are other people getting past this?

    Hey Nats0128,

That's a good question. You should post it on the Alexa Developer Forums, too.

I think they touched on parts of that in the webinar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShkSbRM-1BQ&feature=youtu.be

You may be able to train your Alexa device to understand their voices better through the settings. Alternatively, head to the competition Slack channel and post your question there. You may get a faster reply from one of the participants who has a similar issue.

Hope one or all of these helps!
